My educational background:
I majored in Computer Engineering in my Bachelor of Engineering at Nanyang Technological University in 2009, then I went on to complete a Doctor of Philosophy (High Performance Computing for Bioinformatics) from Nanyang Technological University in 2015.
Some of my greatest achievements to date:
Officially completed PhD in 2015.
2nd prize TEXATA in 2014.
1st prize “Join the Spirit” High Performance Computing by Airbus Group in 2013.
A cool approach to big data I’ve come across:
I like the solution provided by “fallingfruit.org” which has an interactive map to tell you where you can find free fruits in your neighborhood. I’m planning to test it out soon.
Where my passion for big data comes from:
I love to uncover information hidden in a big “pile” of data. In general, I like to have a “surprise” factor in everything I do.
A piece of advice I live by:
“Be so good they can’t ignore you” by Steve Martin and “Focus on process, not outcome” popularized by James Clear.
